Wolverine and the X-Men cast list

Marvel Animation Age has posted a cast list for the Wolverine and the X-Men series (I'm still thinking of posting reviews of the episodes, and maybe some Marvel movies and TV series here if there's any interest... or if there's any interest from people who want to review things that's great too, drop an email to clevernamehereshs@yahoo.com) but be warned because there be spoilers ahoy! Many of the characters listed are to be expected, but there's a few kind of shocking choices in there.

It's not totally complete though, as they acknowledge, and I can think of at least 2 mutants (or was that 3? I can't remember right now if _ _ _ _ spoke on the plane) that had a speaking role during the fight/climax of the first episode.

News Clips 8/19/08

It's been a while since we've done a News Clips, so here we go.

While we discussed family friendly books earlier in the November Solicitations, Marvel's Free Mondays put up a Marvel Adventure Hulk issue for free reading this week.

Comics Continuum continues coverage of Marvel's animation, discussing how Steve Blum is voicing Wolverine in both the new X-Men cartoon and the upcoming Hulk Vs. direct to DVD title, how Spectacular Spider-Man is still likely homeless, etc, etc.

Marvel Animation Age has a news piece on how Wolverine and the X-Men will be premiering on Canada's YTV in September.

And in general news clips, Hollywood Reporter was the first to write about the possible Venom movie and the inherent problems (ie, casting, how to make a movie about a villain, how to tide fans over until a potential 2011 Spider-Man film.)

And Marvelousnews has posted pictures of more upcoming Marvel Minimates, also focusing on Marvel's Iron Man movie.

And although everyone else is already covering it, Lionsgate now has the North American DVD rights for the upcoming Wolverine and the X-Men animated series. Apparently the real news is the behind the scenes drama over Punisher War Zone.

And then finally, October's Lee Toy Review is apparently going to include coverage of DC's Infinite Heroes. The solicitation text (copied from 86 Floor Comics Previews listing):
